At the end of 2015/start of 2016 we succeeded in extending igr’s global presence to a new country - as igr is now undertaking two projects in Georgia. The projects, both financed by KfW (Germany’s development bank), are being implemented in the Autonomous Republic of Ajara.

On Wednesday 15th June 2016, in beautiful sunny weather, a total of 15 runners from igr took part in the "B2Run" - a running event involving teams from local firms in Kaiserslautern. B2Run is one of the largest running events in the region, with around 7,000 participants. The successful completion of the 6 km course was celebrated at the finish line with ‘After-run party’ with great live music.

The city of Mainz is developing a modern residential and commercial estate on an industrial site that has been partly abandoned in recent years.

A commercial estate with ca. 66,500 m² usable commercial space will be developed on the ca. 11.2 ha topographically highly varied site.

The concluding conference of the BMBF funding programme, "Intelligent and multifunctional Infrastructure systems for future-proofed water supply and waste water disposal (INIS)" took place on the ‘Museumsinsel’ in Berlin on the 20th and 21st of April 2016. igr participated in its role as a practice partner in one of the 13 funded projects.
