The project "Imsweiler bypass", which was supervised by igr with regard to the spatial planning process, reached a milestone in February.

The miners of Hochtief completed the tunnel breakthrough in the presence of Federal Transport Minister Dr. Volker Wissing and Minister of State Daniela Schmitt.

The 399 m long Mühlberg tunnel, in combination with the Schleifmühle valley bridge, forms the core of the new bypass, which will cost a total of approx. 60 million euros. The breakthrough was celebrated by many local residents. Employees of igr, who worked with great commitment in the planning for many years, were also present.
