Bitburg, development site ‘Auf dem Monental’

The 15.5 ha development site with 124 building plots was being developed by the Volksbank Immobilien GmbH (VB immo) for the town of Bitburg. Igr was commissioned with the planning and installation of the infrastructure.

In order that access to the development site from the B 50 was possible, a left turn-off lane from the state highway was required, as a joint operation with the state enterprise Mobilität (LBM). The boundary with the state highway was lined with a noise barrier made from the earth removed from the construction site. The building partnership’s speed of construction was remarkable. Only 12 months elapsed between the start and the completion of the groundwork.
