Regional Network System Westeifel (RVWE)

Currently, various supply lines are laid in different sections on a length of 140 km between Trier and the Belgium border. Included are lines for water DN 300, gas DA 225 and empty conduits for fibre optic cable and others to be installed.

Around the city of Speicher the project is especially very challenging The route crosses the river Kyll, a water body category II: 

• Over a distance of 200 m and a height difference of 13 m a jet drilling will be used between the starting- and the destination pit to realize a closed installation underneath the Kyll. The course of the borehole corresponds to a circular segment with a vertical and horizontal curvature, to ensure below the Kyll a minimum cover of approximately 5 m.
• Overall a very narrow valley cut (height difference 120 m on a length of 400 m).
• Prior complex ground investigation (20 m depth, fissures in the sandstone) 

Inter alia, igr is commissioned for the extensive planning in the fields of technic and environment as well as for environmental supervision.
