igr was invited to a expert discussion on the subject of heavy rain management in municipal experience, which was organized by the "Grünen" parliamentary group in the Bavarian parliament.

The Bavarian "Die Grünen" became aware of igr through the research project "AKUT - Incentive Systems for Municipal Flood Prevention" or through our partner in this project, the professorship "Complex Networks" at the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University at TUM Campus for Biotechnology and Sustainability.

The project was funded as part of the German adaptation strategy to climate change and highlighted the interdisciplinary interaction of various public and private actors against the background of heavy rain prevention as a common task. In cooperation with municipalities, universities and users, an advisory tool has been developed that supports municipalities in the selection of suitable preventive measures and is intended to promote implementation by suitable incentives.
