Landscape plan for the Enkenbach-Alsenborn municipality’s land use plan, district of Kaiserslauten

The municipality of Enkenbach-Alsenborn was preparing a new land use plan. In this context a related new landscape plan had to be developed. The landscape plan has the function of setting out the goals that the municipality has with regard to nature and the landscape. Within it, protected natural resources, namely soil, water, air and the climate were considered, and the direct interactions with biotope and species protection and/or the landscape were investigated. In the environmental management development strategy the local requirements and actions to achieve the nature conservation and environmental management goals were described and illustrated.

The data from the analysis and appraisal was captured with the aid of GISPAD software (as stipulated by the state of Rheinland-Pfalz), and, following completion of the plan, was made available to the responsible nature conservation authority, so that it can be integrated into the official Osiris database.
