„White Smoke“ at the Biomass Heating Power Plant

In the municipal area of Enkenbach-Alsenborn, the biomass heating power plant has started its trial operation. The turbine with an electric power of 2.6 MW and a thermal output of 3.0 MW is being gradually run up and will deliver its full output into the new long-distance heating system (5 km) by January 2010.

In compliance with EEG (Renewable Energies Act), electric power will be fed into the power supply system owned by Enkenbach-Alsenborn's municipal works.
